Thank You to Our Wonderful Volunteers!
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the incredible volunteers who supported our kindergarten classroom and school community throughout the year. Your dedication, time, and caring presence have made a lasting difference. Whether you were helping in the classroom, preparing materials, or joining us on field trips and special events, your contributions brought joy and enriched our learning environment. Thank you for your commitment and for being such an important part of our Andrew Sibbald family.

Volunteer Tea
Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us for the celebration on Friday morning. We are so grateful for your time and support. It truly made the event special for our students. Please take a moment to check out some of the beautiful artwork created by Andrew Sibbald’s students (see below). A special thank you to Mrs. Odegard, who taught the kindergarten students engaging colour songs. Her ability to create developmentally appropriate music, movement, and dance experiences allows our students to build confidence and truly shine.

The Calgary Zoo Field Trip
"We didn't realize we were making memories; we just knew we were having fun." -AA Milne

Students spent the day exploring the zoo in small groups, observing animals in their naturalistic habitats and unique enclosures. Later in the week, they reflected on what they saw and what they learned. Ask your child to share three new facts they discovered at the zoo!

Throughout our visit, we learned about the zoo's many successes in conservation and animal care, as well as some of the challenges involved in maintaining these efforts. This hands-on experience sparked curiosity and set the stage for future learning.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful volunteers for joining us on our field trip to the Calgary Zoo. Your support, enthusiasm, and care helped make the day safe, engaging, and full of meaningful learning for our students. We truly appreciate the time you took out of your day to be part of this special experience; your presence made a big difference!
