Students spent the day exploring the zoo in small groups, observing animals in their naturalistic habitats and unique enclosures. Later in the week, they reflected on what they saw and what they learned. Ask your child to share three new facts they discovered at the zoo!
Throughout our visit, we learned about the zoo's many successes in conservation and animal care, as well as some of the challenges involved in maintaining these efforts. This hands-on experience sparked curiosity and set the stage for future learning.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful volunteers for joining us on our field trip to the Calgary Zoo. Your support, enthusiasm, and care helped make the day safe, engaging, and full of meaningful learning for our students. We truly appreciate the time you took out of your day to be part of this special experience; your presence made a big difference!
