Hello Families, We have had a fabulous week in kindergarten! Thank you so much for the lovely staff lunch! It was both thoughtful and delicious, and we truly appreciate the time and care that went into preparing it. Your kindness goes above and beyond and means a great deal to all of us. Important Dates Feb 2 – Fun Lunch  Feb 10 - School Council  Feb 12/13 - Teachers’ Convention Feb 16 – Family Day  Feb 24 – Report cards available to parents for viewing  Feb 26/27 - Parent Teacher Conferences  Valentine's Day Valentine’s Day is a wonderful time to celebrate the themes of belonging and friendship at school. On February 10th and 11th, students can distribute Valentine's cards to their classmates. Bringing in cards is optional. Labelling the cards with your child’s name and “friend” is helpful in kindergarten. If your child does bring in cards, please ensure that your child has a card for everyone in the class. Hello Families, We have had another fantastic week in Kindergarten.  Thank you to all of the families who joined us for our 2nd Hip Hop Concert! Thank you to Mrs. Odegard for organizing this for our students! Math This week, we have been excited to represent numbers.  Helping Your Child Represent Numbers A significant part of early math learning involves representing numbers in various ways, allowing students to truly understand what each number represents.  Representing numbers means students can show a number in more than one way.  This is important because it helps students understand that the numeral “7” always represents the same amount, regardless of how it is presented. Representing numbers supports all of these skills and helps children become confident math thinkers. Hello Families, Happy New Year! We have had a fabulous first week back. Students were so excited to see each other and settled into their routines quickly.   We have spent this week revisiting classroom routines, working on community-building concepts, and reviewing skills in all subject areas.
